The occasion is a celebration of Carlyle’s signature philanthropy program benefiting the UK nursing profession, ‘Nurse Heroes’.  Founded by a group of motivated Carlyle philanthropists, with support from an accomplished  group of media influencers including Oprah Winfrey, Andrea Bocelli, Jennifer Lopez, and the 19-time Grammy Award Winning producer Emilio Estefan, Carlyle is helping to create a future without a shortage of nurses by funding scholarships to train the  next generation of nurses.

Nurse Heroes is  successfully utilizing music and the arts to inform and inspire the  public to support this mission.  Over 1,600 philanthropists  have contributed over $200 million to fund nurse training scholarships  during the last four years.  Now Nurse Heroes is focused on supporting  and celebrating the UK nursing community.  We’ll also reveal an exciting collaboration with the eleven families who own the 52 Super Series Grand Prix yacht race, benefiting Nurse Heroes.  The 52 Super Series Grand Prix is widely regarded as the F1 of elite yacht racing.
